Given Dale Head Farm Bed & Breakfast, Nr Pickering in North Yorkshire
High quality bed and breakfast accommodation on the Southern fringe of the North York Moors National Park.
Givendale Head Farm lies at the foot of the brooding North Yorkshire Moors and
Dalby Forest. This is ideal countryside for walkers, mountain bikers (wash down
& secure bike storage available) and families alike. The North Yorkshire Moors
Steam Railway starts in nearby Pickering before taking its journey North,
through dramatic scenery, passing through the 'Heartbeat' village of Goathland
and terminating at Grosmont.
Why not visit Whitby on the coast, the home of Captain Cook where the more
energetic can take the steep climb up to the infamous Whitby Abbey. For the
family Scarborough offers a more lively scene, with its many shops and and broad
esplanade.
Filey, Flamborough and Bridlington are just south and offer both beautiful sandy
beaches and rugged coastline. Inland try the historical walled city of York, or
the Castle Howard estate, where the series 'Brideshead Revisited' was filmed.
